Short version. forgerift.io is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. ForgeRift does not set any first-party cookies. The only cookies you may encounter on forgerift.io are functional infrastructure cookies set by GitHub as part of serving the static site — ForgeRift has no visibility into or control over those cookies beyond what GitHub's Privacy Statement describes. ForgeRift does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, fingerprinting, or session recording on this website.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website owner.
Cookies set directly by a website owner are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies."
2. What Cookies Does forgerift.io Use?
ForgeRift first-party cookies: none. ForgeRift does not set any cookies on forgerift.io. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, session-tracking cookies, fingerprinting scripts, or any other tracking technology of our own.
GitHub Pages infrastructure cookies. forgerift.io is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. GitHub may set functional cookies necessary to serve the static site — for example, cookies related to load balancing, security, or CDN infrastructure. ForgeRift does not control these cookies, does not receive the data they contain, and does not instruct GitHub to set them beyond the normal operation of the hosting service. These cookies are governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement.

3. Tracking Technologies in Email
ForgeRift uses Resend, Inc. to send transactional emails (receipts, renewal reminders, payment failure notices). These emails may contain a standard 1×1 tracking pixel that records whether the email was opened. This pixel operates in email only — it is not present on forgerift.io. You can prevent open tracking by disabling automatic image loading in your email client. This practice is disclosed in ForgeRift's Privacy Policy (Section 2.2).
4. How to Control Cookies
Since ForgeRift does not set first-party cookies, there is nothing to opt out of on ForgeRift's side. If you wish to manage or delete GitHub Pages infrastructure cookies, you can do so through your browser's cookie controls. Most browsers allow you to:
- View cookies currently stored on your device
- Delete cookies individually or in bulk
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
- Set preferences for future cookies

Note that blocking GitHub Pages infrastructure cookies may affect the rendering of forgerift.io, as those cookies are set by the hosting infrastructure rather than by ForgeRift.
5. Future Changes to Our Cookie Use
ForgeRift may in the future add privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to forgerift.io (for example, Plausible or Fathom, which aggregate data without setting persistent cookies or tracking individuals). If we do, we will update this Cookie Policy and disclose the service before enabling it. We will not add advertising cookies or behavioral tracking to forgerift.io.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies used on forgerift.io or for legal and operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
